Toni Arnsteiner founded Blizzard in 1945 after having returned from WWII. In his carpentry workshop in Mittersill, Austria, he built the first pair of Blizzard wooden skis. Now, over 70 years later, those same wooden skis continue to be produced in Mittersill. From tradition to a prevailing characteristic of their skis, the wooden core of Blizzard skis is what sets them apart from every other ski brand in the industry.
